Motion Graphic Sizzle Reel
Adding motion graphics to an edit that was never intended to have graphics
Contrast Films inherited a sizzle reel project from another production company through their client, The Solomon Group. After Contrast re-edited the piece, The Solomon Group came back with graphics that needed to be incorporated. That’s when Contrast called us in. In order to retrofit the new graphics, we had to restructure the pacing of the edit, allowing the natural musical breakdowns to carry the graphical elements. By leaning on the colors in their logo as well as the diagonal hashshings from their brand book, we brought the brand to life.

Using bold Louisiana-inspired design for the title animation and branding package
After filming the pilot of a Louisiana Travel TV show, Comcorp Productions needed a comprehensive visual identity including a full motion graphics package for the pilot and future episodes. We modeled the brand after Simon Hardeveld’s iconic New Orleans’ inspired signage to give the brand a uniquely Louisiana feel. Aside from doing the basic branding and title sequence, we also developed a comprehensive color identity system for the different regions of Louisiana. Each region had its own color palette and unique branded lower thirds. Finally, we developed transitions for the show and delivered an asset usage guide for reference on how all branding and elements should be used throughout the show.

A fun exciting promo for a web series about a food blogger trying to lose weight
Construction safety is vitally important and if not conveyed in a way that demands precaution and attention, it could result in loss of life. Because of this, we needed to create a dynamic, impactful intro for the video directed by Tommys TV that properly shows the gravity of construction safety. Utilizing the client’s brand book, we developed a powerful experience centered on their colors, while emphasizing all the essential themes with bold text. We delivered the intro in both english and spanish and an accompanying template for graphical interstitials to be used throughout the project.

The Moran Group came to us with the desire to create something a little different for one of their automotive dealerships clients. They wanted to focus the message on an aspect that captured the culture and personality of the dealership. Armed with their a creative brief and access to all of their automotive and dealership assets, we produced a fun, energetic spot that sold the client on this new creative direction. To close out the project, we supplied The Moran Group with all the motion graphic artwork assets needed to produce an ad series based around the initial creative.

Making an otherwise bland policy video fun by bringing the images to life
Any media explaining legal and administrative policy holds the risk of being boring tedious, even if it’s for an organization like the Beer League of Louisiana. Tommys TV came to elbow/room with a script containing huge sections of policy in which they had no video to cover, other than a few historic images. We delivered over three minutes of motion graphic content and accompanying custom transitions to help bring these policy sections to life.

Quirky, style boards brought to life using faux-stop-motion animation.
One of the main ad campaigns for Louisiana Job Connections was centered on the humorous concept of pickup lines. After writing and developing several various pickup line style phrases about job and hiring, the creative team designed beautiful frames to be brought to life. Because their frames looked as if they had a construction paper texture to them, we applied a faux-stop-motion animation to them.

Using only a logo as an intro video
Joule Solar Energy needed an intro for a series of videos they were producing. They wanted something simple and elegant based around their logo. We brought the logo into a 3-D environment and incorporated the reflective nature of the solar panels into the animation. We also used a bright solar burnout to transition into the standard logo to create a seamless, strategized execution.

Tommys TV wanted to create a spec piece for a documentary about Marks Mothersbaugh. The idea was to have different artists illustrate/animate different stories spanning Mark Mothersbaugh's eccentric career. They asked us to do one of the segments.

When BCBSLA wanted to make video companions for their straight talk blog series elbow/room was tasked creating and developing the visual style for the series. We used a nice clean bold typeface to evoke a strong sense of authority. In the intro to the series we decided to exemplify cutting through the confusing clutter of healthcare economics.
