Motion Graphic Sizzle Reel
Contrast Films inherited a sizzle reel project from another production company through their client, The Solomon Group. Sometimes sizzles don’t sizzle enough. Pretty sure that’s why Sizzler went out of business. The Solomon Group thought this sizzle wasn’t sizzling enough, so Contrast suggested they bring us onboard to give it a go. We threw it on the grill to get it sizzling again…that’s why it has all those diagonal slashes…those are actually grill marks.

Matt’s dad has a passion for stale Cheetos. Seriously he leaves a bag open for a couple days before he eats them, it’s pretty gross. Maybe if this show would have been about strange food people are passionate about it would have actually gotten picked up by a network. Instead it sits on our digital shelf showing off a cool video branding package we did.

ExxonMobil threw some sort of party and we did not get invited… But we did get invited to do some graphics for the event. The client (we were told) was really hyped on triangles, so we built some triangular mosaic artwork. Here’s a welcome screen video, as well as the closing animation of a video presentation.

Every production house has done a car ad or two, but I’m willing to bet this one is a lot cooler looking than the ones done by other firms. We did a whole series of spots based on the creative in this spec. After the first run, we gave the working files over to the Moran Group so they could produce new spots based around the creative.

Birth of a National Treasure
We were beyond excited when Red Six called and asked us to work on the Birth of a National Treasure. At the time though, we thought this was a documentary about the movie National Treasure starring Nicholas Cage. Instead it was a video for the Louisiana Chemical Association about the history of oil in Louisiana. Even though this project suffers from a severe lack of Nicholas Cage, we like the way it turned out. Here’s the into section as well as a graphic section from the middle of the piece. Hopefully someone sees this an asks us to work on that National Treasure documentary.
